[Swatch & Review] Anessa Day Serum, Allie Chrono Cheek UV (Warm Orange), KLAVUU White Pearlsation Ideal Actress Backstage Cream (Rose)
It has been unseasonably cloudy here so I've been leaning on the KLAVUU most days. I still love it a lot, but I think as this summer threatens to be the hottest summer in a while, I'm aiming to buy an Anessa Day Serum soon for the far superior protection. I still would most definitely want the KLAVUU for winter months.
This post is part my Reddit migration and was posted here. It has my face, you know?
Me: ~NW25, dehydrated normal to dry skin, coastal desert climate.
Anessa Day Serum (SPF 50+, PA++++): I got the Anessa Day Serum as a
little tester that came with the Anessa Perfect UV Milk. I used the Day
Serum twice before I gave it to my mom to try since she has oily skin
and enjoyed the old version of Anessa. Lovely texture, just a hint of
evening out skin tone with a bit of a glow (less than KLAVUU's though).
Smelled a little soapy, but not overwhelmingly so and elegant enough
that it's actually enjoyable to smell (doesn't linger). I'm using the
Anessa Perfect UV Milk as my main sunscreen right now and the finish of
the Day Serum is better IMO. I'm not sure where I land between the two
yet...I probably would like to buy a full size of the Day Serum before I
make my final decision because I do enjoy the slight evening and
blurring as well as overall finish more than the Anessa Perfect UV Milk,
but it is pricier.
Allie Chrono Cheek UV, Warm Orange (SPF 50+,
PA++++): It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be, but a little
really does go a long way. The texture shot in the first picture was way
too much (so the Anessa + Allie pictures I used up that entire amount,
but I've been using about half that amount for both cheeks and little
bit on the eyes). I've been complaining how Allie messed everything up
with the Chrono, but no complaints about this one. The scent is just
barely noticeable, a bit perfumey, but you don't use enough of it for
any scent to hit your nose. Color-wise, it's just barely noticeable but
does add a hint of warmth in person. It's a great no makeup product
that's actually not makeup.
KLAVUU White Pearlsation Ideal Actress Backstage Cream, Rose (SPF 30, PA++): Stupidly long and silly name but it is a very lovely product and perfumey scent that is not noticeable on. I got a sample pack of it and took a while to actually use it because it's really a CC cream/primer and it's only SPF30, but loved it enough to go through a lot to get a full size. It's a bit blurring and evens my skin tone with a very lovely peachy glow, more glowy than Anessa's Day Serum but it's not extreme. Weirdly enough, the day after I have it on...my skin feels bouncier? It's only SPF 30 so I use it on days where the UV Index is 4 or below. It actually feels pretty tenacious too, lots of touching of the face and the feeling of it being on remains (more on that below).
My mom has oily skin and had been complaining about her redness, so I gave her a bottle of this and it was absolutely gorgeous on her. She glowed like an angel ðŸ˜It wasn't suffocating or too moisturizing for her either (dry climate though). Her redness isn't too bad, so this was good enough to even out and brighten her skin tone. But I am curious to see how the green one would look on her.
I have to add here that the glow on this one is a lot better than the glow on the Hera UV Protector Multi-Defense.
Lovely sophisticated scent and packaging, but hated everything else about that sunscreen. It was way too glowy; it was a white glow so it looked completely over the top and fake. The KLAVUU also has a hint of that moisturizing/"feeling protected" sensation that I enjoy and it lasts for hours. The Hera had that feeling as well, but disappeared in ~2 hours, which made me feel like the sunscreen definitely needs to be reapplied every 2 hours, which...as someone who does not like to reapply, no thanks. I often found excuses to avoid using that sunscreen when I was forcing myself to finish, which is the time I tried the sample of the KLAVUU. I was going to give it a proper review, but then I misplaced it halfway through and didn't get a texture shot of it. I was actually thankful I didn't have to use it anymore.
